Why I Do This Work
I envision a future of work where:
leaders and organizations place people and planet before profit;
we profit from doing work that is aligned with clear, shared values;
success is measured by the outcomes and impact we create together;
we can show up with the best our WHOLE selves have to offer without leaving pieces of our identity at the door
The work of a knowledge strategist involves more than organizing data, information, and knowledge. It is work that opens the door to conversations about how we treat one another, include and collaborate with one another, how we learn, and how we grow.
My human-centered working style and approach to knowledge and innovation services might not be for everyone, but it is intended to include everyone. Optimizing processes and introducing technical solutions in organizations simply cannot be done with lasting success if the people involved in performing, shaping, and using those processes and solutions are not considered even before we begin our engagement.
I adopted the “Humble Consulting” approach because it is rooted in transdisciplinarity, community, implementation science, and equitable evaluation. This approach allows us to get to the root of organizational and leadership challenges together while honoring the complexities and capabilities of the humans who work to create your success.
